6 Tips to Take Care of Your Physical Well Being

I decided to focus on my TRANSFORMATION in latter part of 2019 and continue into 2020. I am talking about mind, body, spirit, emotional, financial, social, physical well being, and work.

Today, I want to share with you 6 Tips that has helped me take care of my physical well being and truly made a difference in my Transformation.

The first and most important tip is getting enough SLEEP! Your body needs between 7-8 hours a night to regroup from all the work it does during the day. I wake up at 4:00 a.m. everyday so I go to bed between 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. I used to stay up late and get up early; however, it was increasing my migraines and really messing with my health especially my mood! I would encourage you to work your way to getting 7-8 hours of sleep. If you are like me, and you can’t get your mind to relax, try a meditation app. It has really helped me to turn off my brain at night.

My second suggestion is STRETCHING throughout the day, especially if you sit at a desk. Set a timer for every 60 minutes to get up and move for a few minutes. You ca also do some simple stretches. This will get your blood flowing and also get your creative juices moving again.

The third tip is WORKING OUT for at least 30 minutes per day. I mix mine up with strength training, cardio, stretching, yoga, and some cardio kickboxing. I also take breaks during the day for some quick 20 minute walks to get out of my office and clear my brain on top of my workout since I sit so much for my job.

My fourth suggestion is EATING A BALANCED DIET. I try to fill half of my plate with vegetables, a quarter of my plate with protein, and the remaining quarter with complex carbohydrates. I drink at least half of my body weight in ounces of water. I have eliminated all pop and sugary drinks. I will still have wine occasionally.

My final suggestion is practice a POSITIVE MINDSET. Read books, listen to podcasts, and music that promotes a positive mindset and helps you grow. Start your day with words of affirmations that are positive and think of them throughout the day especially when things get tough. Each morning, I listen to 11 minute Positive Affirmation download from YouTube. Plus, I read personal development and listen to podcasts that will inspire me to be the best version of myself. I listen to the podcasts and audio books while I am folding laundry or cleaning. I read first thing in the morning before my kids are even up during my quiet time.

I believe if you add some or all of these tips, your PHYSICAL WELL BEING will start to transform. Since beginning these simple tips, I am a much calmer person, I am not worrying as much, my anxiety levels are down. I am sleeping better.

I challenge you to try some or all of them. I would love to hear if you use any of these techniques or if you are going to implement them in your life.
