We live in a world full of hustle and bustle. We are full of demands that commands are attention constantly. In order for me to handle the daily grind of working, raising a family, and being a wife, I have implemented these 6 important activities in my day so that I can show up as the best version of myself!
First of all, I go to bed early and I wake up early. When I go to sleep at night, I listen to a meditation app so it will help me fall asleep faster and go into a deeper sleep. I make sure I get enough sleep each night so I am recharged and ready to go in the morning. I wake up early. I have at least 2 hours before my children wake up so that I can have time for myself to get things done that I enjoy doing in silence.
The second thing I do is listen to morning affirmations. Morning Affirmations set the tone for the day. They are positive reminders that I can accomplish anything.
The third tip is journaling. This is where I can pour out my feelings and thoughts. I can write down my dreams and fears.
The fourth area I focus on is gratitude. I write in a gratitude and prayer journal. I write what I am thankful for each day along with my prayers. When I focus on what I am thankful then I focus less on the negative.
My fifth tip is working out! This is a huge stress reliever for me. I can workout out frustration or pent up energy. Also, I work from a desk so this helps get me get up and moving.
My sixth strategy is reading personal development and my devotional. I read my devotional with my mom over the phone, and we discuss it. It is a way for us to stay connected and read the Word of God. I also read personal developments to help me grow.
Most of the things I do are done before my kids are even up! This time allows me to recharge my batteries and be ready to face my day. I am at peace and ready to be with my kids when they wake up.
